With the continued uncertainty around when pandemic-related restrictions will be lifted, we have decided to hold this year's Annual General Meeting online. The spirit behind our original plan of holding the AGM in Kamloops was by having it in a central location, to make it more accessible for our members who are spread out across BC. After the venue we had booked it at decided to cancel all events due to covid-19, we realized that holding it online presented an opportunity to make the meeting more accessible to our members, without requiring them to incur any travel/accommodation costs.
So, we will hold the AGM as a video conference on the afternoon of Sat Aug 8th. For those who live in the lower mainland we'll also be hosting a BBQ on Aug 9th, and we'll be encouraging our Constituency Associations to host similar in-person events that weekend. If you're able help with organizing one in your area, please contact our new Regional Caucus Chair, Raymond Rodgers. To be fair to those who have already paid for their registration, and because the AGM is one of our majors fundraisers (especially going into an election year when we need to stock up our war chest), we've decided to keep the tickets at $50, but we're offering the early-bird discount again of of $40 until the end of June. Get your ticket today and be part of this important meeting the will elect our executive team and resolve other important business. Doing so will set our Party on the solid footing it needs to make maximum impact during the general election scheduled for 2021.
