On March 4th The British Columbian Libertarian Party gathered together for an evening of training and inspiration in Vancouver, BC. Many of our candidates met for the first time and members of the public were able to ask questions and meet the Party leadership.
Liberty activists across Vancouver and from all over the province met to exchange ideas, talk about libertarian philosophy and hear excellent presentations from Michael Pickens and Michael Scott, of Libertarian Leadership
and Project Positive Change
. Several candidates also stood to speak about the Platform For Choice and various libertarian ideas.
With well over 20 candidates now confirmed to be running across BC in the upcoming May 9th election against Christy Clark and her NDP opponents (less than 60 days to go now!) the BCLP represents a genuine uprising of freedom-lovers and individuals who are fed up with government waste. The BC Liberals recent budget announcements all but confirmed their steadfast adherence to the status quo. Meanwhile the NDP continue to campaign on borderline socialist policies, promising more taxes, more spending, and a bigger government.
Quite frankly, we’re having none of it.
