If you’re concerned about the loss of human rights, freedom & dignity, I want you to know you’re not alone

I’m Jason Bax, the BC Libertarian candidate in the current South Surrey provincial by-election. And I’ve had enough. I’m not a career politician. In fact, I loathe politics. But it’s hard to stay out of politics when the government and their unelected “experts” dictate policies that intrude, so destructively, on my and my family’s lives.

With an education in science, business and technology, and a career as a (recovering) investment banker, I recognized in 2020 that the unprecedented, unproven and inhumane health policies “recommended” by a foreign entity, would cause more harm and human suffering than the virus itself. Let’s have a look at how my prediction turned out, shall we?

I warned my community that our human rights & freedoms would be restricted for much longer than “2 weeks to flatten the curve.” I was right.

When NDP Premier Horgan declared a state of emergency, adding (strangely) that they had “secured the supply chain,” I warned that it would lead to shortages. I was right.

I warned that “lockdowns” (a prison term) would hurt our local economy. I was right. Corporate bankruptcies soared 60% from March 2020 to March 2021, leading to massive job loss and financial hardship for British Columbians.

I cautioned that even early fatality data did not warrant quarantining healthy citizens. Although my heart goes out to anyone who lost friends or family, the data has been in for well over a year: the “deadliest virus in 100 years” has a known infection fatality rate (IFR) of 1% or less, a median age of death of 82, with 90% having 1 or more comorbidities.

I warned that the mandates would contribute to increasing hospital wait times and ER closures. Many have lost jobs, businesses, homes, friends, family, life savings, health, mental well-being and hope. Overdoses soared. And so have suicides. My heart is breaking.

To add insult to injury,  300% more people have died from cigarette smoking than from ALL who have died from and/or with SARS-CoV2 in 2.5 years, based on the  BC CDC’s own numbers. Yet, there has not been a single “mandate” to ban tobacco usage, the leading cause of preventable death, in the spirit of “if it prevents just one death, it’s worth it.” (Not that I would dare infringe on anyone’s right to choose what they put in their body.)

Yet, the NDP continues on this path of destructive policies expecting different results, for a disease the World Health Organization says, Most infected people will develop mild to moderate illness and recover without hospitalization.” This, according to Albert Einstein, is the definition of insanity.

That’s why I continue to advocate for a “Return to Normal” and call for a “Return To Sanity,” and respect for fundamental human rights, freedoms and dignity that are protected and guaranteed by the Canadian Charter of Rights & Freedoms.

That’s enough! Among other issues on our platform, It’s time for a “Return to Sanity,” and an end to censorship of scientific debate.

If you’re concerned about your loss of human rights & freedoms. If you’re concerned that history is repeating itself. You’re not alone!
